Bondi Sands commissioned Projected to conceptualise, produce and deliver a large-scale out-of-home (OOH) videography and photography campaign for a takeover at Waterloo Station, one of the UK's busiest transport hubs.

The brief required a creative partner capable of handling entire campaign delivery, from idea generation through to multi-format production, asset versioning and deployment, while maintaining strict timelines and budget control.

Creative Concept & Narrative Development

The campaign narrative playfully explored the ups and downs of a British summer, contrasting Bondi Sands' sun-drenched Australian brand world with the unpredictability of UK weather.

Projected proposed the creation of a stylised composite environment, blending studio-shot model plates with bespoke backdrops built from a montage of recognisable British locations captured across the UK. This approach allowed complete creative control over weather, lighting and tone, a prescient decision given the uncertainty of the period.

Ironically, despite the campaign being designed around bad weather, summer 2020 turned out to be one of the hottest and driest on record, further underlining the value of a controlled, studio-led creative solution.
